HOLLYWOOD - A 28-year-old Los Angeles man who was shot and killed in Hollywood was identified today by the coroner's office.
Miran Ashikyan was shot near the intersection of Lemon Grove and Oxford avenues about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, said Lt. Kitty McCracken of the coroner's office.
Paramedics took Ashikyan to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police and firefighters.
Two suspects were last seen headed toward Western Avenue in a black BMW sport utility vehicle, said Officer Gregory Baek of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations unit.
A motive for the shooting was not known.
