Bollywood couple Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupati have confirmed that they are expecting a baby, according to reports on Masala website.
Lara and Mahesh finally opened up about the baby news in an interview, and said that they really hadn't intended to hide it but were just waiting for the right time to share.
The actress, appearing next in "Don 2" with Shah Rukh Khan this Christmas, also said that she had no intention of quitting movies after having the baby because Bollywood is what she truly loves.
Lara also confirmed the pregnancy news on her Twitter page, posting: "Thank you so much for all ur wishes and prayers. It's an awesome time in life right now and Mahesh and I r both very excited abt the baby!"
Actor friend Abhishek Bachchan was one of the first to congratulate her, posting: "Paaji! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Welcome on board."
The 33-year-old actress tweeted back saying, "Thank you so much ab! You'll be sorted by the time our turn comes, will call for tips!!"
Earlier in June, Bollywood's golden couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek confirmed that they are expecting their first baby.
Lara is fondly known as 'Lara paaji' in Bollywood and Abhishek and she have worked together in two movies – "Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost" and "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom".
